No More Free Calls: From Now on Pay 6 Paisa Per Min for Non-Jio Calls

After Enjoying Unlimited FREE CALLS on any Network for the last 3 Years, Jio is now a Paid Company in respective of Call Charges. After Providing 6 Months of Free 4G Data Services, Jio has launch it’s Paid Data Packs way before. Now they have come up with Calling Charges. You will be paying 6 Paisa per Min for all your Non-Jio Numbers. Though Jio to Jio Calls will be FREE as before.

No More Free Jio Calls

In the latest Statement Jio has released, they have mentioned that because of TRAI Regulation, they have to put a Charge on their Non-Jio Calls. But to Compensate that Jio will give all it’s Users 1GB for Rs. 10 Paid on Call Charges. This new rule will be applied from the 10th of October.

Personally I feel very bad about this news coming. I was a regular user of Reliance Jio and use Jio SIM Card as my Primary Number. I have Recharged Rs. 399 Jio Pack when it was providing Free Calls for both Jio and Non-Jio Numbers. Now if they start to Charge me from 10th of this Month, it will be very bad and they will not follow their promise when I’ve been promised to Provide 84 Days Free Calling on this pack. Anyways, let’s see what’s happening.

Jio has many Topups like Rs. 10, Rs. 20, Rs. 50, 100 and so on. So far, you don’t need to have balance in your Main Jio Account in order to call Other Non-Jio Users. But from now on, you have to Recharge your Mobile and Keep Minimum Balance in your Account in order to call your Non-Jio Friends. So you need to main your Balance as well as your Jio Prime Recharge. Well, that’s a Burden for sure.

After Jio has revoked the Non-Jio Free Calling Other Network Operators like Airtel and Vodafone will also put Charges on their Existing Free Out Going Call Packages. So finally now we can call that the Free Calling Era has ended here. Now again you have to Pay Money for your Outgoing Calls.

The Only Relief is Jio to Jio FREE Calling is still there. And as many of our Friends have already Switched to Jio Network, we hardly need to call Non-Jio Numbers.  But still, many of us need to call Customer Care or Other Services where No Toll-Free Numbers are there, you have to pay for all these calls.

Here is the Picture of Latest Recharge Packages for your Jio Number’s Topup Balance:

And here is the Notice that has been released by Reliance Jio this afternoon. As you can read there, all Non-Jio outgoing calls will get paid from now on.

In this Notice, Jio has also mentioned that these paid call charges will get revoked when TRAI makes this IUC Charges to Zero. This means there are chances that in future Jio can make the Free Outgoing Calls again.

At the end of this post, I want to know how you guys are feeling about these new changes in Reliance Jio. Like recently they have come up with the Most Awaited Jio Giga Fiber Plans and it’s Costings. I personally felt the Charges are not good at all. Already there are Broadband Services in India that Provide better Rates than Jio Giga Fiber Broadband. And now this Outgoing Call Charges as well.
